About

Claire Troemner created “The Dish: Upper Peninsula Farmers, Foodies, and Chefs” to celebrate the people growing, making, and sharing good food across the Upper Peninsula. She holds close Robin Wall Kimmerer’s words in Braiding Sweetgrass: “all flourishing is mutual.” Guided by that belief, and by a deep curiosity about the people and places behind good food, she invests her time, energy, and resources in uplifting the vibrant local food scene taking root across the U.P.

You can find her at Troemner Farm tending the garden and chicken flock, baking sourdough, stewarding the land, and supporting the people who make the Upper Peninsula’s local food scene so vibrant.
