THE WRITER

The Dish is a passion project created, written, edited, and often photographed by Claire Troemner of Troemner Farm.

While most of her days are spent tending the farm and crafting artisan foods from scratch, Claire holds close the belief — as Robin Wall Kimmerer so beautifully writes in Braiding Sweetgrass — that “all flourishing is mutual.”

Guided by that truth, and fueled by her insatiable curiosity, she dedicates time and resources to uplifting and promoting the vibrant local food scene blossoming here in the Upper Peninsula.
